Your close friends often refer to you as a “clothes horse.” They probably mean that you wear fabulous clothes and have an extensive wardrobe. And, it’s true - You enjoy being well dressed and have great clothes.

I think your horse could appear just as terrific as you do. He could be equally well dressed in his stable, trailer or at the shows. Horse clothing and wearables are my specialty, and I have been considered as somewhat of a personal shopper for several successful show horses.

Perhaps you wish to update your own show clothes or upgrade your horse’s appearance in different show classes. It’s as simple as changing to a new saddle or sparkling tack from, say, a chestnut finish to a dark oil finish and complete the look with a new show suit in a different color. You might even select some flash or bling.

You have your best show outfit for your big shows and another change or two. Yet your horse most likely always wears the same tack, saddle and saddle pad. With a little planning for both you and your horse, you’ll be able to get a few new pieces of tack that will perfectly coordinate with your riding outfit – Perhaps you can accessorize in another clearly distinctive, flattering color that’s totally different from your usual show appearance. I mean it is ever so becoming when you show in your stunning purple outfit riding your big, bold horse that subtly matches your color choices. Then when you head into the next class, you are astride that same gorgeous horse but he is now decked out to the nines in fabulous turquoise studded horse tack and you match him in showy splendor.

High quality tack items come in great array of finishes, colors, with silver or rhinestone conchos; saddle pads and blankets are available to suit the most discriminating riders in vast choices of materials and styles.

I often think a horse is proud to carry his rider and does his best to show to the best of his ability. Maybe he even takes pride when he is turned out suitably well?
