My Mind Has Gone Blank

A short while ago I was driving my car to the car dealer for an appointment. True to form, my mind starting racing. …Write this article, fix this, do that… In my mind, I concocted this great story. Darned if I didn’t get it planned and partially written, and I liked it.
I made a mental note to get it on paper at my first possible opportunity.
It wasn’t long ago when I wrote about my Calgon moment and the great and wonderful thoughts that come and go. At my age, I should have learned. Nope – still no pad of paper, recording device or improved memory - just more lost thoughts into oblivion.
At this moment, at least, I intend to do something positive about it. What can it hurt to leave several little notebooks here and there? Then, as the thinking cap engages, I’ll be able to jot down ideas – you know the brilliant ones that usually get away.
I am amused at myself. It has only taken me a lifetime to this moment in time. And not such a short one last I counted. Perhaps I have become fed up with lost causes once too often and, this time, I’ll do it.
Now, what is it I was going to do?

Sometimes, we just have to laugh at ourselves, eh?Thanks Lorrie. What else can we do? The crazy thing is that my mind literally empties when I'm trying to recall this "inspiration" I had. Gone. Sad thing -
Hate to say it, but I have had those similar moments. Like "where was I?" I also hate it when I rise from an afternoon nap and have to ask "Who am I". Oh my.Teeheehee - Sure sign that we have reached legal age. No more being a kid, eh?
About the name? I spell my last name with an "i" at the end. One day, I found myself signing something, don't even remember what, and I signed my last name ending in a "y". Hello! Not me? What was I thinking?
I am sure it has something to do with that orange notebook....You know, that's probably it. heheh. Thanks for reading.
