Your life is too important to risk getting ill. When it comes to breast cancer, you must fight against it with all your might before it can settle in your body. At present, I have two friends in the fight of their lives. I’m convinced that these strong women will fight and win, and my prayers and love remember them throughout the days as they wage their noble battles.

Since their diagnoses were dumped on them, several of us have lived on the Internet researching and learning. They are engaged in war but other friends Breast Cancer Ribbonand people reading this article may have a chance to avoid breast cancer. I dedicate this article to all of us to fight, to beat it, to cure it, to avoid it at all cost.

Individual diets can have a huge impact on reducing breast cancer risk. Plan on introducing some of these recommended dietary tips into your daily diet and always get adequate sleep, exercise and plenty of fresh water to round out your health regime.

Eat healthy fats from monounsaturated fats and Omega-3 essential fatty acids. Breast cancer studies have proven that foods with these fats have a lower risk. In addition, the monounsaturated fats and Omega 3 are rich in antioxidants E and selenium that are known to fight cancer. These foods and fats are recommended:

Eat legumes (beans, peas and lentils). Legumes are nutritious, low in fat, and contain high fiber and proteins. They boast high antioxidant values. Studies have confirmed that eating legumes at least two times per week reduces the chance of developing cancer.

Eat rainbow-colored vegetables and fruits. Powerful antioxidants contained in the following foods protect against the free radicals that can cause cancer, plus they are excellent in fiber content:

Eat cruciferous vegetables because they contain loads of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. They are superb cancer fighters and contain lots of fiber, making them especially good for keeping colon cancer at bay too. The foods below are so good for you that you can eat all you want.

Eat little or no processed foods. This is particularly true if the food contains artificial ingredients and/or preservatives. It is recommended that you avoid Sugars, Artificial Sweeteners. Some research has shown that cancer thrives on sugar. Avoid processed meats such as Bacon, Pepperoni, Hot Dogs, Lunch Meat and Breakfast Meats. Avoid or limit Alcohol and do not grill all the time.

I’ve heard it recommended by Vitamix that getting antioxidants into your system the easy way is to make smoothies with all the fresh produce and vegetables available in your area. You can load up on cancer fighters in one easy-to-make drink. Experiment with flavors and mix together those that appeal to you and the family.

As we wish our friends well and support them with our prayers, lets remember to also take care of ourselves and our loved ones based on available information.

And some of us have been eating enough veggies so that we are growing rabbit eats, taking natural supplements, eating "health foods" (although I do admit to an occasional slice of sandwich meat and so not buy organic) legumes, omega 3s etc and still managed to get the big C. However, it could have been so much worse had Mick and I not committed to a healthy eating and life style years ago.

Thanks for highlighting this - it is very important info. My surgery is this week and am praying for a report which says they "got it all" in the biopsy!

The head of my medical is Dr. Jesus - the rest of the team seems awesome. I can't wait to have the surgery in my rear view mirror!

Love you, Lady!

You inspired me to get this written. My doctor had discussed some of the food benefits with me. It is a generalization, I guess because it surely didn't do the job for you. Sadly I think much of the "preventions" are speculative or at least not foolproof. Who ever really knows. When I look back over different times in my life and then back to my young days, I never saw so many heavy people. Never! Also, women were not huge in the chest like these days. Even the heavier women did not get as massive as they seem to be these days. I believe, right or wrong, it's our food and the additives. I also think it seems to be evolution on speed. People are bigger, fatter, with bigger feet and hands. Kids develop years earlier. Growth hormone? The stuff we're adding to our food sources?

The scientists say that each of us harbors bad cells, including cancer ready cells, that are there on "stand by". For some of us, they are never triggered - but if you live long enough, it is said that they do activate anyhow. For others among us, the cells become active. No one knows what sets the process going. So we just need to do the best we can and follow the leads we are given, including food.

I know you are in good hands from all you have told us. Pray you're OK. I think the world of you may writer friend. Love you back with all best hopes, prayers and wishes. Heidi
