It Is An Island – It Is a Yacht

I am not in the market for a yacht, today anyway (chuckles). Actually, I am not going to be buying any yacht in my lifetime, truth be told!
Just the same, I received an ad by email for a splendid yacht or one like it to be built. Funny thing is that it’s not the first yacht ad received under my business name. I guess running a horse clothing website probably means that I have much leisure time and can afford to lounge around a whole lot on a yacht. I’m here to tell you – “NOT!”
For certain, this yacht makes a dramatic statement. I’ve seen several that I like better, and if I was seeking a yacht of my own and was looking to make a statement, I’d get one even bigger and better with helicopter and pad, hot car ready to roll and other amenities including height and length. Heck, I could probably even have one with a horse stall or two built in for port stops or island hopping. Well I mean why not?
This one is pretty neat though, I can easily agree. It’s got a built-in private island. Cool – an island and a yacht wherever you go.
This was designed, created and built in the United Kingdom by Yacht Island Designs. Who knows what they’ll think of next!
The inspiration on this yacht is obviously a tropical island complete with a pool, huts, a sort of volcano for ambiance(?) and creature comforts beyond desires. The volcano flows water in a river effect to the pool. This splendid yacht has the prerequisite VIP staterooms, gym, arcades, spas and also the helipad with helicopter.
And for the final flourish, this yacht has a retractable beach. The advertisement says, “The whole concept is pure genius and the result looks even better.”
I guess I can easily agree with that.
Above 4 Photos are of the Yacht Island. This is a giant yacht with its own volcano. The main deck is a beach - it has the cove of cabanas and a huge swimming pool.
Above 2 Photos are of the Princess Marianna and the Shining. These are more my style. I've already popped some coins into the piggy bank to buy my own.

Top-level comments on this article: (4 total)WOW what a yacht, and here it is cold and you make me want to go to the ocean. Between Christopher's romance story, and your yacht, it feels like my life is boring, boring, boring...lolI guess that's what readin' and writin' is all about. Takes you away from the hum drum. Sorry about teasing. Isn't that yacht obscene. Don't you just love it. Oh well, like I said, it isn't for me in this lifetime. I can cheer 'em on!
Awesome yachts, Dubai seas ?
We had one small speedboat years back for us to go over to the island ( picnic snorkeling, diving etc ) It was damaged one stormy night at the beach club. There is always such a risk of damage. If I had a boat that sustained any damage, I'd definitely want to get rid of it. Guess my article is pretty timely - about yachts I think - because of the bit getting brought back up about Natalie Wood. The two actually had nothing to do with each other - I just liked the amazing island idea.
Completely captivating. I'm a Moon in Pisces, my heart is swept away by dreams of sybaritic indulgence. Great article.Doesn't this thing just blow you away? I cannot imagine such wealth and splendor. i am just happy to get everything paid every month, teehee. The yacht has the amenities all right Indulgence if you have it and can at times share it is good.
Well, I don't quite get/understand a yacht of that magnitude. If you're going to have an island on a boat you might as well have the island, at least for awhile.
I have a yacht, technically, it's over 30 feet long and it's our haven away from the humdrum, probably much like why you ride horses. That thing, however, is an obscene disgrace to the boating community. I doubt any boater or anyone with any sense of dignity would have any interest is such a ridiculous pantomime of pretentious pleasures. Thanks for stopping by and the comments. I agree with you about this particular yacht. I'm not much of a water person anyway but what blows me away about this one is the amount of money involved. And it's not that I have yacht envy in any way. It's just that I have a hard time wrapping my head around being able to spend that. I would never want that kind of money, nor would I ever want to stand out with such a unique or different yacht. We all have our little (or big) sinful pleasures that we can spend some leisure money on. I would want to do it in a nonflagrant way. However, that is not to say I would not have an elegant type of yacht just not something flamboyant. I just thought it most interesting in view of how much thought went into making this one stand out from the rest.
I'm sure you enjoy your yacht every bit as much as anyone can enjoy one and hats off to you fot it. I say we enjoy what we have and give thanks for having it.
Thanks. Agreed!
